"Agreed! I do not get the hype. He was truly awful. I was a theater kid in high school, and he reminded me of the worst of us.
The whole cafeteria scene made him look terrible to be around. He was just a jerk, but we're supposed to like him because he was nice to a pretty popular girl?"
2. "Phil Dunphy from Modern Family . He constantly makes comments about Clarie's appearance and makes inappropriate comments about Gloria in front of Claire."
3. "It's really a mark of how wildly talented the rest of the cast is, 'cause I can't STAND Jess from New Girl . Everything about her annoys me, and she treats her friends like props she can manipulate around her to live out her 'quirky' fantasies."
"If the other characters hadn't been so funny and charming, I would have never made it through an episode.
As it is, I usually fast-forward through her scenes."
4. "Daenarys in Game of Thrones . Talk about nepo babies — she didn't do anything to deserve being the 'mother of dragons' beyond being born into the right family. She was too short-sighted to realize they would hurt innocent people until it happened and too arrogant to keep them safe even while thinking of them as her children."
"She just assumed Westeros was rightfully hers without bothering to learn anything about its people and culture and didn't care about anything her family had done that had hurt its citizens.
Emilia Clarke was fun to watch, but I am so glad that nasty, selfish girl didn't win the throne."
5. "That would be Gabrielle Solis from Desperate Housewives . Just watching the pilot and the final episode, she just gets worse! Selfish, arrogant, bad mother (she cares about her kid when it's about her)... She seemingly can't take a lesson from when she had money difficulties. The worst thing is that she always gets out of trouble by doing a silly thing, not resolving it."
"The climax is in the infamous last season, where she purposely doesn't care about the fate of her friend going to jail for covering a crime she has done herself!"
7. "Gonna get some flak for this, but...Michael Scott from The Office . Sure, they toned him down over the years, and he had his moments, but overall, I still find him largely unwatchable."
9. "IMO, Sheldon from The Big Bang Theory is EXTREMELY annoying. I do appreciate that his character arc changed for the better as the show progressed, but I still found his selfish and condescending attitude to be a put-off."
"I'm sure I'm gonna get some flack for this opinion, and I'm totally ok with it, LOL."
13. "I absolutely could not stand Jane on Jane the Virgin . She was always yapping about how she's a writer and how she's not hotel staff but a writer... And then she 1) had pretty much zero original ideas once she finished her first book and 2) couldn't write anything even when ideas were not needed, i.e., when Petra asked her to ghostwrite for her."
15. "Brooke Davies from One Tree Hill. She shouldn't have been added. There was a reason she wasn't in the pilot. She saw Peyton liked Lucas and vice versa, went after him anyway, and then made guilt-tripping Peyton her entire personality when two people who clearly had feelings for each other gave into those feelings."
"Yes!!!! She never once acknowledged that she KNEW they had feelings for each other, which she did. And then whenever she and Peyton were upset with each other she'd say waaaayyyy beyond hurtful things like, 'Okay, Peyton here again, have I mentioned, if you love me, you're probably gonna die soon. See mothers one and two.' Like what?! Who says stuff like that!?!!!
Also, I don't care if they were toxic. Sleeping with Nathan was much worse than kissing Lucas!"
16. "Ted Mosby from How I Met Your Mother was selfish and immature, and he was constantly trying to push himself and his version of happiness on Robin."
"The end of Season 1 — when he talked himself into cheating on Victoria and took no responsibility, blaming it on the fact that he was out after 2 a.m. — was infuriating.
18. "Spongebob. I can not stand that character. My daughter, of course, loved the show as a child. That's probably the only show I let her watch alone because I could not handle that thing."
19. And finally: "Monic and Chandler from Friends . Chandler brings out the worst in Monica. As the series goes on, she becomes louder, more whiny, more conceited, and, therefore, more obnoxious. Monica matures Chandler, yes, but she lies to manipulate a woman into letting them adopt her baby...and Chandler goes along with it. If how they first met Erica was posted on AITA on Reddit, people would absolutely berate them."
