🚨 There are obviously MASSIVE spoilers ahead for The Umbrella Academy Season 4 ! 🚨

Just last week, the highly-anticipated final season of The Umbrella Academy started streaming on Netflix. With over two years between Season 3 and Season 4, fans have been patiently waiting to see how the Hargreeves family's story ends.

The final six episodes hit Netflix a week ago, and, well, let's just say people — myself included — were pretty disappointed in the final season.

It's also worth noting that a few months before the release of Season 4, The Umbrella Academy showrunner Steve Blackman was accused of "toxic, bullying, manipulative, and retaliatory behavior" on the set, specifically in early 2023, according to a report by Rolling Stone .

Blackman, via his reps, refuted the allegations, with part of the statement reading, "The allegations were thoroughly investigated, and all but one were found to be unsubstantiated because they are entirely untrue."

While we were all super excited to see our favorite characters again — I missed Klaus and Lila so much — there were several storylines that just fell short or felt like the writers didn't do justice to the characters we've grown to love over the course of the series.

Like they all just died and don't exist at the end?! WHY!

Namely, there was a very interesting choice to have Lila and Five in a relationship, with Lila cheating on Diego, and I really want to erase it from my brain and pretend it never happened.

The whole season just didn't feel like The Umbrella Academy I fell in love with, which made me wish it ended after Season 3 instead.

And I'm not the only one. Shortly after the new season dropped, many people took to X, formerly Twitter, to voice their disappointment in the final season, especially because they had waited so long for it. Here are 23 reactions to The Umbrella Academy Season 4 that are, honestly, spot-on:
