11 Celebrities Who've Admitted They've Been Broken Up With Over A Phone Call Or Text

1. Cazzie David said Pete Davidson ended their two-and-a-half year relationship over a text. In her book , No One Asked For This, she said that she initiated a break with Pete, but shortly after called him to rekindle their relationship but she learned he was the "the happiest he had ever been." Then, two days later he sent a text ending their relationship for good.

2. Britney Spears wrote in her memoir that Justin Timberlake ended their relationship through a text. Chris Applebaum, who directed the music video for Britney's "Overprotected: The Darchild Remix," spoke in an interview with Page Six, alleging how it all went down. He explained that at the end of the second day of filming, Britney disappeared for 20 to 40 minutes. He said that he found her in her trailer wearing a Juicy Couture sweatsuit, covered in tears and smudged makeup.
