After Sparking Backlash For His "Vile" And "Sexist" Comments About His Daughters, Bug Hall Doubled Down

Y'all remember Bug Hall from 1994's The Little Rascals ?

Well, according to his X account , he's now a "self-canceled Emmy nominee, medieval moralist, peasant, patriarch, and patriot."

In 2020, Bug (real name Brandon Hall) left Hollywood and moved his family to the Midwest, where he undertook a vow of poverty and became a Catholic homesteader.

On Sept. 18, Bug welcomed a son to his homestead, and how he delivered the news is receiving a lot of backlash on the internet.

The Get a Clue actor welcomed Mark Athanasius Chad Anthony Hall-Barnett with a post on X (formerly Twitter), writing, "I have an heir!"

The rest of the tweet read, "Mark Athanasius Chad Anthony Hall-Barnett of the Holy Cross was born at 4am, weighing in at 9.5 lbs. Mama and baby are both doing great. My bride's fifth delivery, third all natural... Athanasius Contra Mundum."

When a person said, "You already have daughters. WTF is wrong with you?!" in response to his comment, Bug replied , "I said heir, not dishwasher."

Bug's comment was quickly criticized online, with someone saying , "I hope when you're old and senile your daughters drop you off to a nursing home to suffer in silence."

Another person wrote , "i pray god protects those precious little girls from your toxicity and projected self-loathing until they're old enough to disown you. get your heart right or end up in hell bro."

Many users accused the actor from the 1996 film The Stupids of misogyny for his remarks.

One user wrote , "I feel bad for your children. Especially your daughters."

In response, Bug doubled down on his controversial remarks, writing , "You're just mad that my wife's children are all from the same father."

Twitter: @Bug_Hall It's a remark that is incredibly insensitive, considering he's referring to a negative stereotype about the author's ethnicity, and her husband passed away from cancer last year.

But, if you learn anything from dipping your toes into the cesspool of intentionally offensive tweets and tasteless jokes, most culprits never back down from controversy.

Dang. That rewatch of The Little Rascals will really hit different, all things considered.
