George Clooney is one of the most infamous pranksters in Hollywood, and last week, he pulled back the curtain on his latest acts of mischief involving fake stationery.

“Every actor I know I’ve sent a letter from Bill Clinton,” he said during an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live , in which he also revealed that he sent faux letters posing as Brad Pitt.

“The Brad Pitt one was brutal. I sent it to everybody,” George remembered, listing off some celebrity pals. “I sent it to Don Cheadle . I sent it to Tom Cruise , saying they want to do [ Interview with the Vampire 2], but this time Brad wants to play Lestat.”

“I sent it to Meryl Streep with a box of CDs for dialect,” he continued. “I said, ‘This guy helped me with my accent in Troy , and I think he could really help you.’”

And now, George is getting a taste of his own medicine thanks to his 7-year-old son, who seems to have inherited his prankster genes.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight at the 2024 Albie Awards last night, George and Amal Clooney revealed that their twins, Ella and Alexander, have been causing chaos at home with some pretty advanced pranks.

“Alexander and Ella both do it, don’t they,” George said on the red carpet, prompting Amal to confess that it’s actually gotten “really bad.”

“My son has access to Hollywood-grade props, like fake cockroaches and mice,” the human rights lawyer revealed. “And he now has a 3D printer. So I can’t tell you the things I’m finding under my documents, under my pillow.”

Although many parents might be horrified by such mischievousness, it sounds like George couldn’t be more thrilled.

“When Alexander executes the pranks, and George sees it, he just looks at him, and he’s like, ‘Son, I am so proud of you,’” Amal said, to which her husband agreed, “I’ve never been prouder.”

“He’s learning from the best,” Amal joked.

As you may know, Amal and George are incredibly private about Ella and Alexander, who are rarely photographed publicly. In a recent interview with GQ , the Oscar-winner explained why it’s so essential for them to protect the twins’ privacy as much as possible.

“I have a goal of trying to protect, I don’t want pictures of my kids,” he told the outlet.

“We deal in very serious subject matters, with very serious bad guys, and we don’t want to have photos of our kids out there,” he continued, “So we have to work hard at trying to stay private, and it’s tricky, as you can imagine.”
