A Space Shuttle Took A Photo Of Hurricane Milton And It's Equal Parts Terrifying, Surreal, And Beautiful

We're a little over 24 hours away from Hurricane Milton making landfall somewhere in Florida.

Meteorologists are saying it has the "potential to become one of the most destructive hurricanes on record for west-central Florida."

And now we're seeing what it looks like from space.

The Dragon Endeavour flew over the storm, and astronaut Matthew Dominick took this picture from it:

People are both gobsmacked and terrified of this view.

"This is one of the most beautiful, horrifying images I've ever seen," this person said.

"It must be bizarre to serenely float over this whilst knowing that it will cause utter havoc to everything in its path," another person said.

And a bunch of people are pointing out how wild it is that we can literally text and tweet with astronauts in space.

Ultimately, I'm with this person: That's definitely not a reassuring view.
