Looking for a scary movie to watch? Lucky for you, you came to the right place. We gathered the scariest movies people have watched, according to the BuzzFeed Community . Here are some of the top answers below:

    1. " The Blair Witch Project . No special effects, just great acting, terrifying noises, and psychological terror. That last scene was terrifying. The original found-footage movie that spawned so many others."

    2. " Darkness Falls . It's a movie about the tooth fairy who kills the kids who see them. I was just old enough to have lost all my baby teeth, but it made me terrified to be in the dark. A few years later, it was on TV, and I thought, 'It can't be as bad as I remember.' It was."

    3. " The Hill Have Eyes . My best friend and ex-husband had to watch the scene, tell me what happened, and then we'd watch it. I'm still mad at them for making me watch it. It was so disgusting and terrifying."

    4. "Personally, I hated Se7en . That movie haunted me for years, especially the lust scene. It was just twisted enough that I could see some religious fanatic doing things like that in real life. Plus, I hated thinking of the person who sat down and thought up all those details of torture and death and what else was swirling in that mind."

    5. " The Road is an adaptation. I read the book just to see what people were talking about, and it is so dark that my brain has repressed most of it. Yikes."

    6. " The Witch scared the fuck out of me! The beginning with the baby in the woods, the kids getting possessed or something, and Black Phillip, oh my god, Black Phillip. The next day, I had to go to church with my family, and I prayed I wouldn’t go with Black Phillip."

    7. "The Fly . I saw the very end as a kid when he was nothing more than a man-fly blob. It's terrifying and anxiety-inducing."

    8. "The original Thirteen Ghosts . I saw it in the movies with my siblings when it first came out. My youngest brother ended up hiding on the floor behind our seats. Decades later, we were all adults, and I asked them what was the scariest movie they had ever seen. All four of us said the same thing: Thirteen Ghosts. I don’t think that the remake is as scary at all."

    9. " The Birds . I’ve never been comfortable near a lot of birds since."

    10. " Silent Hill is my hands-down scariest movie. It's a perfect mixture of psychological/horror/thriller/paranormal and suspense. Plus, it leaves the watcher to come to their own conclusion of what really was real."

    11. "Hands down, Event Horizon . I watched it as a kid, and it scared the heck out of me. I watched it as an adult in the middle of the day; scared the heck out of me."

    12. " Phantasm is the only movie that had me looking under my bed."

    13. " The Poughkeepsie Tapes . That movie devastated me. So bleak. I can’t watch it again."

    14. "A friend’s mom took us to see the original Last House On The Left when I was 11 or 12. I don’t think you can even find an uncensored version of that movie anymore. I got up and double-checked that all the doors in our house were locked after my parents went to bed for years after that."

    15. "The first ever Saw movie. The most f'ed up part of the film was when Cary Elwes’ character cuts his own foot off with a hacksaw."

    16. " As Above So Below is the only one I've ever had to turn off and finish later because it sent me into a panic attack. I'm claustrophobic, so the underground aspect and all the tight spaces they had to be in didn't help. I will never watch it again because of that but damn it, it was actually really good."

    17. " Jaws legit has caused a life-long fear of the ocean for me. I will not go in further than my waist and usually only to barely above my kneecaps. I can read all the well-researched, scientifically derived data about sharks, and it makes absolutely no difference."

You must be used to watching comedy movies! Blair Witch was so boring and not scary at all. Try movies like Smile 2 and The Strangers (the first one) they are what a scary movie should be like.
