Alicia Silverstone has concerned her followers after she posted a TikTok video of herself eating what appears to be poisonous fruit that she found in the streets of England.

The actor took to her social media page to ask if anybody knew what the fruit was as she filmed herself reaching through a fence to pick it from a bush in somebody's front yard.

“OK, I’ve discovered something that I can’t figure out what it is and I need your help,” Alicia began.

She then held the small orange-red fruit up to the camera and explained: “I just bit into it because it was on the street, and we were discussing whether this was a tomato or not.”

“It’s definitely not because look at these leaves,” Alicia added, filming the bush. “Those are the leaves, so what the heck is this?”

Biting into another one, she said: “I don’t think you’re supposed to eat this. It’s almost like a pepper. Does anybody know what this is? I don’t know what it is; I need somebody to tell me. I’m in England.”

Needless to say, the video alarmed viewers — with many quick to point out that the bushy shrub looks like solanum pseudocapsicum, otherwise known as a “Jerusalem cherry” or a “winter cherry.”

All parts of this plant are poisonous to humans, especially the fruit.

While eating the fruit is unlikely to be life-threatening, it can cause unpleasant symptoms such as a fever, sweating, vomiting, stomach pain, headaches, and an increased heart rate. The symptoms typically take a few hours to kick in, and can persist for days.

So, understandably, fans are desperate to know if Alicia is OK — especially as she hasn’t posted to social media in 12 hours. The fruit video was uploaded 13 hours ago.

“WOMAN! UPDATE US. ARE YOU ALIVE AND WELL!?!” one popular comment reads. Somebody else wrote this morning: “Okay it is 7am in England, can you give us an update PLEASE. just a quick ‘hey I’m okay!’ 🥲”

“Really need part 2 of this video after reading the comments 💀💚😂” one more admitted, while another user asked: “Girl can you post again so we know you’re ok?”

Others simply questioned why Alicia would risk eating unknown fruit that she found on the street, with one comment reading: “Girl! berries are either great or freaking poisonous! Don't eat rando bush-things😭😭”

“More to the point- Why are you eating random things from someone’s garden?!” somebody else asked. Another echoed: “You bit into something you don’t know what it is? On the street!!?”

“Why in the world would you eat something that you don’t know what it is?” one more queried.

Somebody else simply wrote: “Alicia, that’s dangerous.”
