A Viral Tweet Has Reminded People Of Christina Aguilera And Kelly Osbourne’s Infamous Yearslong Feud, And It’s So Much More Shocking Than I Remember

When asked to recall Christina Aguilera’s most infamous past feuds, your mind probably goes to her spats with Britney Spears , Eminem , or Pink .

But this week, tons of X (formerly Twitter) users were reminded of one of Christina’s messiest feuds of all time, which was with none other than Kelly Osbourne .

Although Kelly and Christina finally settled their beef in 2022, a viral tweet from @BOTTLEBLONDEZ , which reminded fans of just how chaotic the feud was, has sparked renewed discourse about it.

So, let’s take a little trip down memory lane.

Kelly and Christina’s feud began in the early ‘00s after Kelly made a series of unprovoked digs at the "Dirrty" singer.

Not only did Kelly describe Christina as “one of the most disgusting human beings in the entire world,” but she said that listening to her 2000 Christmas album made her want to “stab” herself during an episode of her family’s reality show, The Osbournes .

In fact, Kelly’s parents — Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne — brutally dragged Christina’s music, too, with Sharon saying that she wanted to “scratch” and “abuse” herself while listening to the album.

Kelly would go on to make numerous digs at Christina, who finally addressed the drama at the 2003 American Music Awards.

“I personally think she has a crush on me because she seems so obsessed with talking about me,” she told Access Hollywood .

Christina also claimed Kelly had “nothing to say” when she tried to confront her at a nightclub.

“I tried to confront her at a club, I think, and she just totally backed up. She was just like, ‘I don't have anything to say about you, blah, blah, blah. That's not me, that's my mother.’ When I confronted her in person, she really had nothing to say, so I don't know.”

Things escalated when Christina filmed an intro to the 2003 MTV Europe Music Awards, during which she infamously threw darts at a printed photo of Kelly’s face. She also called Kelly a “sad, poor, angry little child” during her hosting monologue.

Kelly later responded, “If Christina Aguilera has to resort to throwing darts at my head after everything she's achieved and everything she's done, then she's a really sad, sorry person. And I take it as a complete compliment.”

What’s more, Christina started getting very friendly with Kelly’s brother, Jack — and during a 2003 episode of The Osbournes , Kelly scolded him for dancing with the singer.

In 2004, Christina appeared on an episode of Saturday Night Live that featured a skit of the cast parodying the Osbournes.

Then, after years of back-and-forth, Christina bought the Osbournes' family home in 2008 and turned Kelly’s bedroom into a huge shoe closet.

Fast-forward a few years, and Kelly harshly insulted Christina’s appearance on E!’s Fashion Police . “Maybe she is just becoming the fat bitch she was born to be. I don't know. She was a cunt to me. And she bought my house!” Kelly said.

Kelly later defended calling Christina fat, stating, “She called me fat for years. One night on Fashion Police, I said, ‘Fuck you. Now you’re fat too.’ I didn’t say I wasn’t fat. I said, ‘Now you know how it feels.’ And I’m sorry, but I stand by that.”

It wasn’t until 2022 that the pair squashed their beef, according to Kelly. A year later, she stated , “We were pitted against each other in the media for so many years that we both thought that we didn’t like each other. And then we actually sat down together at a Christian Dior fashion show and ended up really liking each other.”

After the age-old feud was brought to light again this week, several internet users couldn’t help but comment on just how messy it was.

“The girls these days would never allow themselves to throw THIS much shade,” one person wrote , while other users admitted that they’d only just learned about the memorable spat.
