Cherokee Fall Festival slated for Sept. 7-8
Sequoyah Birthplace Museum, Tennessee’s only tribally-owned museum, will host its 33rd annual Cherokee Fall Festival on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 7 and Sept. 8, from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. each day. Visitors will have the opportunity to step back in time to experience Native American food, Cherokee arts and crafts demonstrations, music and dance. An animal welfare organization said it stepped in to rescue more than 100 rabbits from a home in Tennessee, which had become overrun by the creatures, photos and video showed.
