Common House Takes Over Former Louisiana Children’s Museum Space

While helping to produce a documentary about the card game, Charlottesville, Virginia native Derek Sieg realized there was a decline in organizations — such as bridge clubs, neighborhood associations and bowling leagues — that bring people together.
Award-winning Amsterdam poet visits Charlottesville for book signing
New Dominion Bookshop in Charlottesville will host a book reading and signing with award-winning poet CAConrad on Saturday, Sept. 7, from 7 to 8 p.m. CAConrad will read from their latest poetry collection, “Listen to the Golden Boomerang Return,” which was released from Wave Books in spring 2024. The in-person event will be free and open to the public. The bookshop recommends arriving early for the best seating.
United States at Offbeat Roadhouse
United States will pull into Offbeat Roadhouse Friday night, September 6, for a concert which will also be broadcast on WTJU. Established in 2019 amidst the challenges of the Covid lockdown, United States brings together the talents of Michael Sokolowski on piano, Drew Pompano on bass, and Jim Ralston on drums. What sets this jazz trio apart is its improvisational flexibility.
Third Rail Presents Red Flower Lake at WTJU
