Spencer Cancels Water/Sewer Rate Increase
The Spencer City Council amended an ordinance for a planned water and sewer rate increase Thursday. The increase implemented in February, 2023 to gradually increase rates every six months until the city’s utilities were no longer experiencing financial stress. With the change in utility leadership, Spencer Mayor Alisa Farmer said the state suggested the change.

The Metro Nashville Police Department (MNPD) reports 23-year-old D'Andre Pruitt is facing charges of reckless homicide, child neglect, and evidence tampering in the Wednesday night shooting.
