Standoff ends after several hours in Canon City, 2 arrested
CANON CITY, Colo. (KKTV) - An hours-long standoff is finally over in Canon City. Police announced Wednesday evening that they were trying to get a barricaded suspect out of a home on Robbie Lane, located on the northeast side of the city. The standoff wore into the night and eventually into Thursday morning.
School supply give-away slated for Saturday

New Florence-Penrose School District Superintendent settles into role as new school year nears
As of July 1, the Florence-Penrose School District has officially welcomed its new superintendent to Fremont County. Dr. Bill Wilson was chosen in March as the prime candidate after the district hosted a candidate forum and replaced Dr. Brenda Krage, who retired at the end of the 2023-24 school year.
