Duke Energy pays $1.4M for land
Duke Energy Corp. (NYSE: DUK) recently added to its land holdings in the Charlotte region. <\p> Earlier this month, Duke Energy Carolinas LLC bought just over 10 acres in Cabarrus County for nearly $1.4 million, real estate records show. The land is at Blackwelder Road and N.C. Highway 49 between Harrisburg and Concord. It is unclear what the Charlotte-based utilities giant plans to use the site for. The company did not respond to a question before deadline about its plans for the land. <\p>
