    Cabool sales tax revenue up in April

    Sales tax revenue collected by Cabool merchants during April was up compared to a year ago, according to the Missouri Department of Revenue.

    A one-cent general sales tax totaled $32,816.27. That’s an increase of $7.915.98 from the same period last year.

    A half-cent sales tax for transportation needs totaled $16,408.07 in the month of April. That’s up $3,957.95 from the same period last year.

    A use tax applied to out-of-state internet orders totaled $7,663.82 for the month. That’s up $1,864.81 from the same period last year.

    A half-cent sales tax earmarked for law enforcement totaled $2,063.69 for the month.
