The Community Blood Center of the Ozarks, the sole supplier of blood, platelets and plasma to patients at 45 area healthcare facilities, including Texas County Memorial Hospital, is asking persons to participate in its “Bleed Red” blood drive Tuesday, May 28, at Cabool.

The event is 1 to 6 p.m. at First Baptist Church’s Family Life Center.

Successful donors will receive a three-quarter sleeve Springfield Cardinals baseball T-shirt and two free tickets to an upcoming Cardinals game, while supplies last.

“Our 20-year partnership with the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks has been instrumental in saving the lives of southwest Missouri patients. We are proud to partner with CBCO again this year, for a two-month Bleed Red Blood Drive to continue making a positive impact in our community,” said Springfield Cardinals General Manager, Dan Reiter.
