Victim Named In Shreveport’s 32nd Homicide of 2024
A man shot and mortally wounded in the Eden Gardens neighborhood late Friday, June 28, 2024, has been named by the Caddo Parish Coroner's office. Jacoby Willis, 46, of Dallas, Texas, was talking to another individual at a residence in the 7200 block of Bethany Street when a family member heard several shots. The family member checked on Mr. Willis, who had been shot in the neck and was unresponsive. He was transported to Ochsner LSU Health hospital, where he succumbed to his wound at 11:59 p.m.
DOTD To Close Lanes of Several Caddo Parish Roads
It's that time of year. The time for bridge inspections, and the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development has announced several of them in the coming weeks. To allow crews to properly do these inspections, the DOTD is advising all motorists of intermittent lane closures on a number of roads throughout Caddo Parish.
