Company That Owns Illinois Pizza Huts Files for Bankruptcy
The struggle continues for many food franchises as a company that owns many Pizza Hut locations in Illinois has reportedly filed for bankruptcy. Nation's Restaurant News reported today that EYM Pizza L.P. has filed for chapter 11 bankruptcy protection in the eastern district of Texas Monday. They said this pizza company "operates units in the South and Midwest". According to their corporate site, that includes Pizza Hut locations in Illinois.

Jones departs Crystal City for Ste. Genevieve
A fixture in Crystal City athletics has moved on. Ken Jones resigned in June as Crystal activities director and director of transportation and is the new transportation director for the Ste. Genevieve R-II School District. Jones, 47, oversees about 40 employees, including bus drivers and mechanics, and manages an expanded fleet through the district’s recent acquisition of Fallert Bus Service, Inc.
Festus man charged months after crash that damaged a home
A Festus man faces several charges in connection with a one-vehicle accident the night of the Super Bowl, Feb. 11. Matthew P. Henson, 31, Festus on July 9 was charged with the class D felony of endangering the welfare of a child, the class A misdemeanor of driving while intoxicated with a minor in the vehicle and the class A misdemeanor of operating a motor vehicle in a careless and imprudent manner involving an accident. He was released on his own recognizance.

St. Louis County police looking for woman missing since Monday morning
ST. LOUIS COUNTY, Mo. — The St. Louis County Police Department issued an endangered person advisory Monday for a woman who walked away from home and has not been seen since. The endangered person advisory said 27-year-old Monai Paster left her home on Ebert Drive at about 6:20 a.m. and did not return. The advisory said she has a "diminished mental capacity."
