Great horned owl rescued and released
GREENVILLE — A great horned owl trapped in netting at a soccer field in Greenville has been released back into the wild. On June 26, Environmental Conservation Officer Lucas Palmateer responded to a complaint about a great horned owl stuck in a soccer net at the Ararat Youth and Conference Center in Greenville, according to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation.
