Police investigating home invasion at multi-million dollar home in Hollywood Hills
Police are investigating a home invasion in the Hollywood Hills in which two suspects broke into a multi-million dollar home.The incident happened around 10 p.m. Friday near Sierra Alta Way. Someone inside that home near the high-end Bird Streets neighborhood called police to report a burglary in progress. That person hid in a bathroom until officers arrived.Police believe the suspects broke a window to get in. AIR7 was above the scene and captured a shattered window near the pool area.Information on the suspects' whereabouts was not immediately available.No injuries were reported. It's unclear if anything was taken.Earlier this week - during an investigation for a burglary in Porter Ranch - LAPD Deputy Chief Alan Hamilton explained what the department is doing in response to the rise in these crimes."We're going to be visible for the most part, but we're also going to be out here with undercover officers and doing other types of investigations," Hamilton said, who added they'll also work closely with the community."We need the community's eyes and ears to help us combat this problem of residential burglaries - not only here in the Valley, but throughout the city of Los Angeles."
