The New York Jets announced July 9 a multiyear partnership with Caldwell University , establishing the school as an Official Higher Education partner.

Beginning next spring, features of the agreement include:

    • The partners will collaborate to create class-based and independent study projects for students. That work will include the development of Jets-centric programs and real-life experiences for students.

    • Caldwell will serve as presenting partner for a series from 1JD Entertainment, the Florham Park-based football team's production arm. "Origins" tells the story of the beginnings of Jets players.

    • The university will also receive brand-building assets, such as stadium signage and commercial spots during Jets game broadcasts on iHeart’s Q104.3FM

Jeff Fernandez, vice president, Business Development + Ventures, for the Jets said the organization is excited to welcome the Caldwell-based private Catholic university to its family. He described Caldwell as an historic institution with a long legacy of developing the best and brightest women and men.

“We are eager to work with them not only to expand knowledge and capabilities but also to provide meaningful experience for their career aspirations,” said Fernandez. “It is important that we help raise the profile and awareness of all the amazing aspects of Caldwell University.”

    Caldwell President Jeff
    Senese
    echoed those sentiments.
    Senese
said the university is honored and pleased about partnering with the Jets organization.

“And we look forward to working with them in furtherance of our mission to educate women and men for today’s society for success, and to help them to make additional positive impacts on society,” said
    Senese
. “We can think of no other professional organization or team with which to associate to help students become better leaders, to support our faculty and staff’s goals and to make a difference in our communities.”
