Rutland man gets probation for 75-mile chase in stolen vehicle
A Rutland man will spend four years on probation for stealing an SUV from the fairgrounds and leading police on a chase that ended in Caledonia County. Alan Frasier Jr., 41, was sentenced Tuesday in Rutland County criminal court to one to five years in prison, suspended with four years of probation and 200 hours of community service. Frasier pleaded guilty to felony charges of aggravated operation of a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent and attempting to elude. The plea was part of a deal in which the state agreed to argue for one to five years to serve, and the defense could argue for any lesser sentence.
