    Warrior golf teams participate in home meet and R-P Invitational

    The Caledonia Area golf teams participated in a home meet at the Ma Cal Grove Golf Course against La Crescent-Hokah on Monday, April 15, and they also participated in a varsity invitational at Ferndale Country Club in Rushford-Peterson on Friday, April 19.

    The girls were victorious against the Lancers, and they came in second at the R-P invitational. The boys team fell to the Lancers at home, and they also came in second at the R-P invitational.

    Girls highlights

    Top highlights for the girls include winning against the Lancers by 21 strokes — 200 to 221. Jazzlyn Hauser scored 44 on nine holes, followed by Hayden Harms with 49, Maggie Herman with 52 and then Ellison Harms with 55.

    At the invitational, the girls placed second, with a score of 387, trailing Byron, who had a score of 333. Individually, Hauser once again led the Warriors with a score of 87 on 18 holes, followed by Harms with a 92, Herman with a 101, and then Harms with 107. Alexis Sauer scored a 113 and Emersyn Klug scored a 121.

    Boys highlights

    The boys fell to the Lancers at Ma Cal Grove 184 to 164.

    The individual scores were as follows: JT Hammell with a 40, Isaac Blocker scoring 45, Carson Klug 47, Noah Berger and Alex Henke 52, and Evan Milder 54.

    Rushford Invitational scores could not be obtained as of the writing of this article.

    Next up

    The girls next meet will be Tuesday, April 23 at home against Wabasha-Kellogg. The boys will have two meets next week, including an invitational at the Zumbrota Golf Course on Monday, April 22, and the same home meet against Wabasha-Kellogg as the girls on Tuesday.
