MDHHS confirms rabid bats in six west Michigan counties
KALAMAZOO, MI (WKZO AM/FM) – Rabid bats have been confirmed in six west Michigan counties since June. They were first confirmed by the Michigan Department of Health and Human Services in Kent, Allegan, and Calhoun counties. They have also been found since then in Berrien, Kalamazoo, and Ottawa counties.

Firefighter carried out of house fire after passing out
CALHOUN COUNTY, MI – A Battle Creek firefighter passed out Wednesday, July 31, while searching for potential victims in a house fire. Firefighters called a “mayday” and carried the firefighter outside. The firefighter regained consciousness before going to the hospital and was later released to recover at home.
