Anderson County Museum (ACM) began as a humble one-room operation in the Anderson County Historic Courthouse in 1983. Now located in a 26,000-square-foot facility with more than 12,000 square feet of gallery space, this free admission museum is devoted to sharing the history of Anderson County and South Carolina. Dabo Swinney updates Clemson’s starting center situation, likes what he sees from Linthicum
Clemson is sticking with the centers they have after spring practice. Ryan Linthicum, Harris Sewell, and Trent Howard competed to replace All-ACC center Will Putnam, with Linthicum emerging as the starter. Clemson hasn’t released an official depth chart yet, but Linthicum has maintained his position heading into fall camp. “We considered adding someone in January, but after spring, we felt confident, especially with Matt [Luke] working with them,” Swinney explained. Linthicum, now a redshirt junior, has excelled in his role. Swinney praised his intelligence and conditioning, noting that he’s in the best shape since joining Clemson. Weighing 302 pounds, Linthicum is at his lightest since arriving in 2021. Swinney also highlighted Sewell’s improvement and Howard’s consistency, adding, “We feel good about the group. They’ve been very consistent.” Clemson will begin preparing for Georgia, with their season opener set for August 31 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium.
Preliminary recommendations for Greenline-Spartanburg neighborhood plan unveiled
Preliminary recommendations for the Greenline-Spartanburg Neighborhood Master Plan were unveiled to city of Greenville leaders and the general public Aug. 15. The city has spent the last several months working with Arcadis, neighborhood residents and stakeholders to develop an updated plan for the neighborhood. The outdated plan for the Greenline-Spartanburg neighborhood located northeast of downtown Greenville was created in 2001.

During a trial run lasting several weeks at BMW Group Plant Spartanburg, the latest humanoid robot Figure 02 from California company Figure successfully inserted sheet metal parts into specific fixtures, which were then assembled as part of the chassis. The robot must be particularly dexterous to complete this production step.
Three Clemson football players make the 2024 Lombardi Award watch list
On Thursday, the Rotary Club of Houston announced 90 players on this year‘s Lombardi Award watch list. Since 1970, the Lombardi Award has been given to the “offensive or defensive lineman who displays exceptional performance and ability and embodies the character and discipline that Vince Lombardi throughout his life,” as the awards website explains. So far, Clemson has never had a player win the award.
