Coroner confirms one dead after Greenville County, South Carolina, collision
GREENVILLE COUNTY, S.C. — The Greenville County Coroner's Office has confirmed one person has died following a crash. On Sunday morning, around 10:18 a.m., Aug. 18, the coroner and South Carolina Highway Patrol was called to a motorcycle accident in the 7999 Geer Highway area near the intersection of Cliff Ridge Drive in Cleveland, South Carolina.
Gators finish 2nd at Byrnes Invitiational
The Lady Gators were on the road this weekend at Byrnes HS to compete in the Byrnes Invitational tournament. The Gators recorded a 4-1 record, losing to Dorman in the Championship match. The Gators were led by junior setter, Lexi Jodie, who recorded her 2500th career assist and was also named to the All-Tournament team. Junior middle blocker, Oprah Tchuendem was also named to the All-Tournament team. Defensively, the Gators were led by senior Libero, Masyn Mclanahan who registered a 2.40 serve receive rating for the tournament. The Gators will wrap up their preseason stint Tuesday as they travel to Dorman for their last scrimmage. Great Job ladies!

Clemson checked in at No. 14 in the preseason AP Top 25 Poll, marking its lowest pre-Week 1 ranking in a decade. The last time the Tigers entered a year outside the top 10 was in 2015, and this campaign's mark is their lowest since they took No. 16 billing into the 2014 season.
