Heart Theatre To Host First Film In 17 Years
Amy Van Bergen, owner of the historic Heart Theatre, announces an exciting community event this summer to celebrate the theatre’s legacy. On Thursday, August 8, 2024, the Effingham County Cultural Center and Museum, located at 120 W. Jefferson, will be the site of an outdoor movie night under the stars. Jefferson and Washington Avenues will be closed starting at 6:30pm, with the classic 1989 film “Honey, I Shrunk the Kids” scheduled to begin at 8:30pm.
Decatur Area Arts Council to host Mac n’ Cheese Fest this weekend
July 18, 2024 – The Decatur Area Arts Council will host Mac n’ Cheese Fest on Saturday, July 20th from 11:00 am to 4:00 pm at Fairview Park Pavilion. There will be a variety of macaroni and cheese-inspired dishes prepared by local restaurants, food vendors, and caterers.
