Sylacauga, AL – Munford finishes as runner up to Sylacauga in Talladega County Tournament. Cherokee County splits trimatch at Fort Payne.

Munford took runner up in the Talladega County Tournament on Wednesday.

The Lions lost to Lincoln 24-26, 21-25, beat Talladega 25-16, 25-4, beat Lincoln 25-11, 25-11 and lost to Sylacauga in the finals, 23-25, 16-25.

Munford’s top performers:

— Raleigh Dew: 12 aces.
— Lauryn Brewster: 11 kills, four blocks.
— Mylie Stephens: 29 kills, five aces, three digs, six blocks.

— Kastin Lathem: one ace, 67 assists.
— Ashtyn Bishop: two aces, 10 assists, 19 digs.

CHEROKEE COUNTY: The Warriors split a trimatch at Fort Payne on Tuesday, beating Albertville 30-28, 25-20 and falling to Fort Payne 31-29, 14-25, 3-15.

Cherokee County’s top performers:

— Macy Lea: 42 assists, nine kills, 11 digs, one ace.
— Ava Haygood: 18 kills, 10 digs, three assists.
— Ellisan Givens: 27 digs, four aces, one kill, four assists.
— Nevaeh Gaidurgis: 18 kills, 12 digs, one ace, one assist, one block.
— Jesslyn Hincy: 10 digs, two assists, one ace.
