    Prep Volleyball – Weaver tops Wellborn

    Calhoun County, AL – Donoho clinches area hosting rights. White Plains, Pleasant Valley, Ohatchee, Pell City, Munford record victories. Weaver tops Wellborn in Monday match.

    WEAVER — Donoho beat Weaver 25-19, 25-15, 23-25, 25-17 on Tuesday, clinching the right to play host to the Class 3A, Area 9 tournament.

    The Falcons also gave third-year head coach Anna Taylor her 100th career victory.

    Donoho’s top performers:

    —Kate Williamon: eight kills, four aces, 13 digs.
    —Samantha Wakefield: 16 kills, two assists, one ace, 21 digs.
    —Ryals Jones: nine kills, one assist, one dig, four blocks.
    —Callee Taylor: one kill, 41 assists, two aces, nine digs.
    —Ava Michaels: 10 kills, 12 digs.
    —Bentlee Pahman: two kills, 14 digs.
    —Chloe Melton: three digs.
    —Alana Maldonado: four kills, two digs.
    —Lindsey Brewer: two aces, three digs.
    —Anna Kate Whitson: seven digs.

    The area tourney is Oct. 15 at times to be determined. Donoho will play the Saks-Randolph County winner, and Weaver will play Wellborn.

    WEAVER : The Bearcats beat Welliborn in Class 3A, Area 9 play on Monday, 25-17, 28-26, 25-17. Weaver’s top performers:

    —Ali Anderson: two blocks, one assist.
    —Ansley Montgomery: three aces, four kills, 10 digs.
    —Maddie Deck: two aces, one kill, 10 digs.
    —Chloe Collison: two aces, five kills, three digs.
    —Stevie McGinnis: four kills.
    —Gracie Duncan: 15 digs.
    —Allie Watson: one kill, eight digs.
    —Kimora Miles: five kills.
    —Jadey Hatten-Rivera: four aces, one kill, 19 assists.

    WHITE PLAINS: The Wildcats beat Hokes Bluff 25-9, 25-22, 25-14 in Class 4A, Area 12 play. White Plains’ top performers:

    —Leighton Arnold: six digs, two kills, two blocks.
    —Carli Fritts: one dig, five kills, three aces.
    —Aubrey Adcock: two digs, seven kills, two aces.
    —Kinley Yarbrough: one kill, one block.
    —Anna O’Dell: one dig.
    —Sara Kate Adams: two digs, four blocks, three aces.
    —Brooklyn Ward: five kills.
    —Isabel Gammell: two digs.
    —Ansley Prichard: one ace.
    —Savannah Phillips: four digs.
    —Ella Ponder: six digs.
    —Callie Sprayberry: one dig.

    PLEASANT VALLEY: The Raiders beat Cedar Bluff 25-18, 21-25, 25-20, 25-17 to finish 6-0 in Class 2A,Area 13 play. Pleasant Valley’s top performers:

    —Lily Henry: 17 kills, one block, two aces, 21 digs.
    —Madison Schwabe: eight kills, one block, one ace, 25 digs.
    —Ellie Patterson: two kills, seven blocks.
    —Ella Parris: three kills, seven blocks, three aces, six digs.
    —Ava Washington: one ace, 10 digs, 12 assists.
    —Elise Wheeler: three blocks, one ace, seven digs, 25 assists.
    —Cailey Almaroad: two blocks, one ace, six digs.

    Pleasant Valley will play host to the area tournament on Oct. 15. The Raiders will play Gaston at 5 p.m., and Cedar Bluff will play Sand Rock at 7 p.m. The championship is 7 p.m.

    OHATCHEE : The Indians beat Piedmont 25-15, 25-9, 25-17 in Class 3A, Area 12 play. Ohatchee’s top performers:

    —Alanah Fitch: seven kills, 16 assists, seven aces, three digs.
    —Brett Finn: three kills, two assists, one ace.
    —Rebecca Hughes: nine kills, one ace, two digs.
    —Kate Ryan: eight assists, two digs.
    —Emily Riddle: five kills.
    —Ayla Crook: one ace, four digs.
    —Bailey Fowler: one kill.
    —Savannah Reaves: one assist, one dig.
    —Greenlee Orman: three kills.
    —Payten Walker: one kill.

    PELL CITY: The Panthers beat Ashville 25-19, 9-25, 15-11 and Lincoln 22-25, 25-22, 15-12. Pell City’s top performers:

    —Ebonecia Forman: four kills.
    —De’Nadriya Moon: seven digs, one ace, one kill.
    —Nyla Treptau: five digs, two aces, eight kills.
    —Olivia Armstrong: nine digs, one assist.
    —Brooklyn Rains: six kills, three blocks, two aces, two digs.

    —Reese Tarver: 30 assists, five aces, two kills, three digs.
    —Madison Graham: 10 kills, one digs, four aces.

    MUNFORD: The Lions beat Faith Christian 25-22, 25-20, 25-21 on senior night. Munford’s top performers:
    —Breanna Hailes: two digs.
    —Raleigh Dew: two aces, one dig.
    —Lauryn Brewster: five kills, one dig, three blocks.
    —Mylie Stephens: four aces, 11 kills, four digs.
    —Christiny Putnam: two digs.
    —Alys Mosley: seven kills, one dig.
    —Kastin Lathem: two aces, 24 assists.
    —Ashtyn Bishop: three aces, one assist, eight digs.
    —Faith Jacobs: four kills, four blocks.
    —Brooklyn Pressley: one ace, three digs.

    The Lions will play host to the Class 4A, Area 8 tournament Oct. 15. Munford will play Handley at 1:30 p.m., and Cleburne County will play Talladega at 2:30 p.m. The championship match is 3:30 p.m.
