Anniston, AL – The Anniston Museum and Gardens will be hosting an educational event titled “Skulls and Skeletons” on Saturday, October 19, from 1 to 3 p.m. The program invites guests to explore the museum’s impressive collection of animal skulls and skeletons, offering a unique and informative experience just in time for the Halloween season.

While skulls and skeletons are often associated with Halloween, this event will dive into their real-world significance in the animal kingdom. Visitors will learn about the diverse skeletal structures of various animals, guided by one of the museum’s educators. Attendees will discover why animals have different and unique skeletal systems, and what these structures reveal about the species’ behavior, diet, and evolutionary adaptations.

The program is open to the public and is included with regular museum admission. AM&G members can attend for free, making it an excellent opportunity for both new visitors and longtime members to engage with the museum’s collection in a new way.

Whether you’re fascinated by anatomy or simply curious about the natural world, “Skulls and Skeletons” promises to be an intriguing exploration for all ages.

For those looking to add an educational twist to their Halloween festivities, this event offers the perfect combination of science and seasonal fun!
