If you're looking for a spot with stunning views and a chance to indulge in some unique dishes, Skates On The Bay might just be your next destination. The restaurant offers a delightful start with complimentary bread that you can keep on requesting - perfect for soaking up every last bit of their appetizing Kung Pao squid, which is a must-try for its perfect balance of sour and sweet flavors. The seafood pasta also comes highly recommended, making it a great choice for seafood lovers.

During my visit, I was lucky enough to snag a corner window table, which offered a breathtaking view of the Golden Gate Bridge. The ambiance was enhanced by the attentive service and the quick arrival of our delicious meals. Although I heard mixed reviews about some dishes like the fish and chips and the prime rib, the seafood generally hits the mark, and they do whip up some mean cocktails to complement your meal. Remember to mention if you're celebrating a special occasion - you might be treated to a complimentary dessert that sweetens the experience even more.

Overall, Skates On The Bay provides a memorable dining experience with its beautiful ocean views and a menu that has some standout dishes. It's a place that could turn any meal into a special occasion, especially if you're seated on the right side of the restaurant.

Had lunch there a few weeks ago, I was not impressed with the food. Salmon on the salad was salty and dry and the shrimp were dry and tasteless. Not some place I would recommend. Only thing it has going for it is the water view and there are many other restaurants one can go to for that.
