Former Pittsburgh Medic Charged with Homicide by Vehicle in DUI Crash That Killed Woman on East Carson Street
A former Pittsburgh medic has been charged with multiple offenses, including homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, after a March incident that resulted in the death of a 60-year-old woman. Sydney Richardson, the accused, was behind the wheel of a pickup truck when she allegedly veered across the center line on Pittsburgh's East Carson Street and collided head-on with the SUV of Mary Alice Bendick. Bendick was pronounced dead at the hospital due to blunt force injuries following the crash, according to CBS News Pittsburgh.

Inflation-weary consumers could soon see changes coming to their favorite drinking establishments that will be gentler on their wallets. Longer happy hours and combo meals that include an adult beverage are among a number of changes to the state’s liquor code included in a bill the House approved on Wednesday sent to Gov. Josh Shapiro’s desk. Shapiro spokesman Manuel Bonder said the governor is expected to sign it.
