Top Mexican Restaurants in Las Vegas

    2021-05-01

Las Vegas is one of the greatest cities in the U.S. and it only helps enforce that statement by offering some of the best foods around. Besides the casinos, pool parties, and sight seeing, one of my favorite activities to do in Sin City is to eat. And besides spending hundreds of dollars at fancy restaurants, what kind of cuisine do I like eating there? Mexican cuisine. There's so many good places to choose from and I've had the privilege of trying a bunch so read on for some of my recommendations.

    Nacho Daddy

Starting off with my all time favorite Mexican restaurant in Las Vegas is Nacho Daddy, one of the highest rated restaurants around. Nacho Daddy has literally every Mexican dish you can think of and more and their quality of food is the best around. There's always a line out the door and for good reason and they used to have a waitlist but now they only take walk-ins, which is still worth the wait. I always come here for their tacos and if I'm feeling a little spendy, I get the filet mignon nachos: cooked the perfection and has the best sauce to add to the chips. A meal isn't complete without the perfect drink to accompany the amazing food, which is why I've tried at least five drinks here and they're all perfect. My favorite has to be the white peach margarita, a little fruity but will hit you like a brick wall in ten minutes. Make sure you call in for a reservation or else you'll be waiting for hours.

What I recommend: Tacos, enchiladas, and the mixed drinks

    Tacos El Gordo

I can't write an article talking about the best Mexican foods in Las Vegas without mentioning the most famous tacos of the west coast: Tacos El Gordo. This taco joint is widely well known all over California and Nevada and currently only has 2 specific locations: San Diego and Las Vegas. But me personally, I think the locataion in Las Vegas reigns superior. So back to these tacos, they have some of the freshest and tastiest meats I have ever tasted and each taco comes with a big scoop of guacamole. If you've seen the pictures, you know what scoop of guacamole I'm talking about. My favorite tacos to get here are the carne asada and the al pastor tacos, they don't miss, ever. So if you're ever in Las Vegas, hit up one of their locations because it's honestly some of the best tacos you'll ever try.

    El Dorado Cantina

This is another great Mexican restaurant and I love that I can always rely on them to be opened because they're a 24/7 restaurant. After the clubs in Las Vegas, it's already 3am and nowhere else is opened except grimey fast food joints. That's where El Dorado Cantina has your back, delicious Mexican food at any time of the day or night and they treat you with so much care. I once came in hungry and buzzed and they instantly sat me down, gave me iced water and took my order right away. Their customer service is next level. When I come to visit, I love getting one of their fat carne asada burritos because it's loaded with so much ingredients and it's so tasty. I've tried their other items like tacos and enchiladas and they're all very good, but the burritos are where it's at.

What I recommend: carne asada burritos

Location: 3025 Sammy Davis Jr Dr Las Vegas, NV 89109

I could go on and on about all the great foods of Las Vegas, especially Mexican restaurants because Las Vegas knows that when you're drunk and hungry at 2am, Mexican food is what we all want. Going to Las Vegas every year and getting street tacos have become a tradition for me and my friends and it's a tradition we hope to continue after COVID because nothing beats leaving a pool party from Marquee and eating a fat burrito or gulf down a bunch of al pastor tacos.
