What to Do When Visiting Las Vegas Part 8
2021-07-08
If you have been to Las Vegas a time or two without venturing off the strip, then I have a few suggestions to make your next trip an even more memorable one. I encourage you to venture away from your casino for a day and make time for some serious adventure. Whether you are an adrenaline junky or a history buff, you will find something to tickle your fancy in Las Vegas. If that has your attention, then read on to learn more about what to do when visiting Las Vegas.
If jumping out of a plane sounds like a little too much adventure for you, then I encourage you to give indoor skydiving a shot. The folks at Vegas Indoor Skydiving will make sure that you are properly coached up and decked out in the appropriate gear for a safe adventure. Starting at $85 per person, you will have the chance to take two flights so that you can really get the hang of it. More flight time is available for an additional fee but after a couple hours, I was done. This really prepared me for the real thing which I did skydive a few months later.

Take a break from the noisy casinos and head to cool, air-conditioned comfort at the Las Vegas Natural History Museum. Fans of history will enjoy their exhibits of The Pharaoh’s Tomb and Ancient Grains. They even offer interactive exhibits for an enhanced experience. With adult tickets starting at just $12 and kid’s tickets at only $6, this is an affordable option that will have the added benefit of teaching you a thing or two about natural history.
The conspiracy theorists in your life will definitely love this one. These tours run about $199 for adults. They will pick you up at your hotel at 7 am, and you will spend all day riding through the desolate Southwest to view all the mystery that this spot has to offer. If you are not lucky enough to see any aliens, then make sure to bring some extra money to spend on some fun alien souvenirs. Just make sure to obey all signage that warns you to “Keep Out!”. Overall, this is a pretty cool experience I got to visit a while back and although it's just a tour, It seems worthy of a trip.

With both indoor and outdoor go kart options, Gene Woods Racing Experience is a great place to take those speed junkies in your life. These are not just any old go karts. These high-performance karts will allow you to speed and zip all over their half-mile track. They even offer a “drift” experience to give you a chance to test your skills in a safe environment. You would think all of that fun would break the bank, but tickets start at just $25. First time I came here, I was going through this track like it was Mario Kart and it was an amazing experience! Watch out for the crazy drivers who think this is the same as bumper cars becaus there's plenty of them!

Although I would like to think that I have officially provided you with the definitive list of what to do in Las Vegas, the city is adding new restaurants, attractions, and events each and every year. It is no wonder why most people like to return to give themselves a chance to get it all in.
