Napa Co.: Toll Fire 60 Percent Contained, Evacuation Warnings Lifted

The Toll Fire north of Calistoga is 60 percent contained as of Friday morning, according to Cal Fire. Remaining evacuation warnings have also been lifted.

Cal Fire has 90 personnel fighting the fire. On Friday, crews will be working toward 100 percent containment by connecting the control lines around the fire and mopping up inside the fire's perimeter. According to the U.S. Forest Service, mopping up is the "hard physical labor process of extinguishing or removing burning material near control lines."

The wildland fire started Tuesday morning along Old Lawley Toll Road. It has burned 41 acres. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
