Juvenile charged in connection with Roanoke shooting
ROANOKE, Va. – Roanoke Police were dispatched to the 3800 block of Frontage Road NW last Sunday after reports of a shooting. Police say a juvenile was charged with shooting into the city, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm as a juvenile. The second juvenile was not charged and released to parents.

College football analyst says Virginia Tech is loaded with draftable talent in 2024
It was a very quiet 2024 NFL Draft back in April in Detroit with no Virginia Tech players selected. That could change drastically for the Hokies come next April in Green Bay. The quiet draft for Virginia Tech three months ago was in part because some of the players who would have likely had their names called decided to come back for one more season in Blacksburg. The extra season in college is going to raise the draft stock for some of their players and one college football analyst, Ryan Fowler of The Draft Network, thinks the Hokies are "loaded with draftable talent this fall" and there have been positive reviews from across the league this summer.
