BALTIMORE --Flash Flood Warnings continue after thunderstorms dumped inches of rain throughout Maryland.Some of those storms produced up to 60 mph wind gusts with heavy rain and flooding.A flash flood warning has been issued for Howard County, Baltimore County and Baltimore City until 12:45 a.m. The areas of concern include Baltimore, Columbia and Ellicott City.Areas that received multiple thunderstorms may experience flash flooding with localized rainfall totals of 2 to 4 inches.Storms will exit the area after 11 PM. Two blocks south of Washington, D.C.’s National Mall, home to the capital city’s many historic monuments and institutions, stands the six-story, 430,000-square-foot Museum of the Bible. Since 2017, the museum has welcomed millions of visitors through its 40-foot bronze doors to explore an extensive collection of biblical artifacts in a gallery that documents the collection of books’ narrative, history, and impact. But not everything in the building is “ancient history.” Recently, the museum opened All Creation Sings, a high-tech interactive exhibit that brings scripture to life through immersive technology.

Fire Works Pizza in Courthouse is partnering with a D.C. area blood donor service to host a blood drive next week. Gregory Howard Grooms and Debon Antonio Thomas Arrested for NE Assault and Robbery
The Metropolitan Police Department announces the arrests of two suspects in an assault with intent to commit robbery in Northeast. On August 7, 2024, at approximately 1:10 a.m., the victim reported being in the 4600 block of Burroughs Avenue, Northeast, when two suspects, one armed with a handgun, approached him and began assaulting him. The suspects then demanded property from the victim. The victim complied and fled the scene. The detective’s investigation revealed the suspects had fled in a black Nissan Versa with D.C. registration.

Three people arrested following carjacking, crash in East Baltimore
A vehicle collided with a pole and caught on fire at the intersection of East Baltimore Street and South Ellwood Avenue. "We were just in the cafe when we heard a big bang and looked out the window, and there were three teenagers running very fast from the crashed car," said Max Reim, the owner of Pie Time. "I think it lit on fire about 30 seconds after hitting the pole."
