Tom and Sherry Smith of Cambria County said they were both enjoying the Trump rally in Butler on Saturday. However, they said everything changed in just a few short minutes. “Trump started speaking, about 15 minutes into that I heard ‘pop pop pop.’ To the left of us was a wooded area, and my immediate reaction to that was, ‘Somebody’s playing a prank, there’s fireworks.’ But then my husband said, ‘That’s gunshots, get down.’ And then immediately everyone around us dropped to the ground,” Sherry said.
Large stash of drugs results in charges
Two Cambria County men are behind bars after officers executing a sealed search warrant found a large stash of drugs, packaging material and cash. On July 12, members of multiple law enforcement agencies, including the Cambria County Drug Task Force and Cambria County SERT, executed a sealed search warrant on the 100 block of Stone Street in the City of Johnstown.
