Pocatello Car Club to hold drag races this weekend
POCATELLO — The Pocatello Car Club is set to host its first-ever street drag racing event this weekend near Pocatello Regional Airport. The event, called Outlaw Street Drags, will be held on Saturday and Sunday on Fortress Street northeast of the airport terminal. The event is free to attend for Pocatello Car Club members. BLACKFOOT — A 40-year-old local man was recently sentenced to serve up to 14 years in prison for leading officers on a high-speed chase in February while in a stolen car with a juvenile still inside the vehicle. Coroner IDs Meridian man who died in house fire
The man who died in a house fire last week has been publicly identified. Norman Duncan, 84, was pronounced dead on Saturday morning following a Friday evening house fire on West Vaquero Lane in Meridian, the Ada County Coroner’s Office announced Thursday. The Meridian Fire Department responded to the fire at around 7 p.m. Friday, July 19, and Duncan died at the scene, as previously reported. Twelve units responded to the fire and it took approximately 30 minutes to extinguish. Duncan’s cause and manner of death are pending, the coroner’s office said.

The latter is the focus of a new mocktail bar at 32 College Avenue in Rexburg called Fizz Rizz.
