Teazzi Tea , a Taiwan-based tea franchise, is set to make its debut in the CambridgeSide Mall food court at 100 Cambridgeside Place . Partnering with them in the same storefront is Beard Papa’s , a Japanese cream puff bakery. Led by partners Peng Jia and Christine Tao , Teazzi Tea x Beard Papa’s is scheduled to welcome guests in October 2024.

This marks the third Massachusetts location for Teazzi Tea, joining its existing outlets in Chinatown and Back Bay, which Jia and Tao also oversee. Beard Papa’s shares a store with the Back Bay Teazzi location, currently making it the sole Beard Papa’s bakery in Massachusetts.

Teazzi has several US outlets, with shops spanning six states. From classic flavors like ginger and green tea to signature creations such as honey oolong lemonade and milk tea, Teazzi offers a wide selection of tea beverages.

The shop also serves seasonal specialties, fruit tea, boba tea, coffee beverages, and caffeine-free options. Customization is key at Teazzi, where guests are encouraged to choose from an assortment of toppings like tapioca, grass jelly, and pudding, as well as adjust the sweetness level and ice content to their liking.

Meanwhile, the Japan-based Beard Papa’s boasts over forty US locations across fifteen states. The bakery offers an array of pastry “shells” for customers to choose from, including a variety of eclair flavors, along with vanilla, green tea, or chocolate fillings. Additional dessert options include creme brulee, fondant, and cheesecake.

Whether you’re a tea enthusiast or a dessert connoisseur, this collaboration between Teazzi Tea and Beard Papa’s at CambridgeSide Mall promises something delicious for every palate.

CORRECTION: A previous version of this article listed one of the owner’s names as Pen Jia. Her name is Peng Jia. The article also mentioned that Teazzi Tea is Indonesia based, but it is in fact Taiwan based.
