Renowned Restraunteur Brings Echoes of Capri to Cambridge

Cambridge will soon welcome a new dining establishment, with renowned restaurateur Seth Greenberg at the helm. Nestled within The Royal Sonesta at 40 Edwin H Land Blvd , MonteVerdi is poised to welcome guests by mid-May 2024.

The forthcoming restaurant will offer elevated Italian cuisine, with a menu that includes both timeless classics and contemporary creations. Initially, MonteVerdi will offer dinner service along with a weekend brunch, with lunch service and a raw bar following close behind. In addition to the fine fare, patrons can expect a diverse selection of beer, wine, and cocktails.

Designed by Petra Hausberger of Somerton Park Interiors, who shares a longstanding relationship with Greenberg, “the space is intended” to evoke “feelings of Capri.” A modern Italian interior will enchant patrons, while an inviting outdoor terrace offers picturesque views of the Charles River. A private dining room is also available, catering to those seeking a more intimate dining experience.

Embracing the theme of natural elegance, the decor seamlessly blends earthy tones such as olive green and terra cotta with accents like antiqued brass and white marble. Thoughtfully curated furnishings, including wooden chairs and tables, textiles inspired by nature, plush upholstered banquettes and bar stools, and a blend of wood and tiled flooring, contribute to the warm and inviting atmosphere. The eclectic collection of art pieces and distinctive light fixtures further enhance the dining experience.
