The celebration, including guest speakers, music, light refreshments and an actual rechristening with champagne, will take place on Long Wharf in Cambridge and start at 10 a.m. Tours of the skipjack and a number of schooners attending the event will be available following the program. Prior to the program at 9:30 a.m. there will be a dramatic reading of the Declaration of Independence at the World War II memorial in Long Wharf Park. The event is open to the public and all are invited.
