Books in the Belfry: Summer reading in full swing at the library

CAMBRIDGE — Summer reading is in full swing this month and our calendar of events is, too! From our take-home craft kits to beach reads, there's something for everyone to enjoy at the library this summer. Before planning your visit to the library, please note that both branches of the Dorchester County Public Library will be closed in observance of Independence Day on the 4 th of July.

The Friends of the Library Book Sale will be held on the Second Saturday, July 13, from 9 a.m.-1 p.m. Find some great deals and cool reads! All proceeds benefit the library's programs and book collections. Please note the Friends of the Library can accept a few boxes of donated books in gently used or new condition on the first and second Saturdays of each month. To clarify recent publicity regarding lost and damaged library books over the past year, the library is seeking financial donations and/or items purchased from our Amazon Wishlist to help provide ongoing support in replacing and purchasing new materials selected by our professionally trained librarians. To learn more about how you can best support the library, please contact assistant director Julie Kennedy at 410-228-7331, or visit the "Support Us" tab on our website at: www.dorchesterlibrary.org/support-us .
