    Spectrum: Baltimore Symphony musicians 'Music for Maryland' tour kicks off at DCA

    CAMBRIDGE — On Tuesday at 7 p.m., Dorchester Center for the Arts will proudly kick off the return of the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra’s three-year Music for Maryland Tour - a series of summer concerts featuring modern masterpieces and beloved classics. From inspiring symphonic performances to intimate chamber music concerts, this Tour has brought world-class music to communities across Maryland.

    DCA will host a Chamber Ensemble featuring: Kevin Smith and Boram Kang, violins; Peter Minkler and Helen Hess, violas; Bo Li and Holgen Gjoni, cellos.

    The concert repertoire is as follows:
    Eyeglasses Duo for Viola and Cello, WoO 32 - Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827)
    “Eine Kline Nachtmusik” (Serenade No. 13 for strings in G major), K. 525 - Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756-1791)
    I.          Allegro
    II.         Romanze: Andante
    III.        Menuetto: Allegretto
    IV.        Finale: Allegro
    Souvenir de Florence, Op. 70 - Peter Illich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893)
    II.             Adagio cantabile e con moto
    IV.            Allegro con brio e vivace
