CAMBRIDGE — Two men were arrested in Cambridge in separate burglary incidents.

According to a news release, Tyree Devon Bryant, 33, of Cambridge, was arrested July 2 on assault, reckless endangerment, home invasion and burglary charges.

Police said officers responded to the 400 block of Cedar Street that evening in reference to a burglary. According to the news release, when officers arrived, they spoke with the victim, who reported that Bryant had entered the victim’s home and assaulted them by hitting them on the head.

Police said officers located Bryant in the 700 block of Race Street, where he was then arrested. He was later turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections on no bond.

On July 8, Kaleb William Carter, 21, of Upper Marlboro, was arrested on burglary, firearm possession and drug charges. Police said officers responded to a report of a burglary in progress that afternoon in the 700 block of Alex Way.

According to the news release, when officers arrived, they heard multiple people inside. Police said multiple people ended up fleeing the home.

Police located two suspects in a nearby wooded area, one of whom was Carter. Police said Carter was not obeying commands of officers to stay on the ground, and officers deployed a taser to subdue Carter and place him under arrest.

Police said officers found a revolver on the ground in the area Carter was located in. Police said Carter was discovered to be in possession of crack cocaine “packaged for individual sale.”

After his arrest, Carter was eventually turned over to the Dorchester County Department of Corrections on no bond.

The other suspect found in the woods was a 17-year-old boy from Cambridge, police said. According to the news release, the teen fled the area while officers dealt with Carter.

Police said the teen later turned himself into CPD. He was processed at the police station, released to a parent or guardian and referred to the Department of Juvenile Services on charges of fourth-degree burglary, failure to obey and obstructing and hindering.
