CAMBRIDGE — Cambridge Waterfront Development Inc. has relaunched its website for Cambridge Harbor, a project to develop land along the Choptank River.

According to a news release from CWDI, the site will provide the public with updated information about CWDI and its project.

“The new website has less animation allowing faster access for users to find the most up-to-date information and documents about Cambridge Harbor and CWDI,” the news release says. “It also is more user-friendly across various platforms.”

CWDI Board President Angie Hengst said in the news release that the reconstruction of the website, which was completed with the help of the Dorchester Chamber of Commerce, was in response to community input.

At the CWDI Board of Directors meeting on May 22, Dorchester Chamber of Commerce President Bill Christopher said the organization’s website was originally designed to attract developers and might not have what the “average citizen” wants to see.

Christopher gave a presentation at the meeting, showing plans to reconstruct the website with different features, including better access to CWDI documents.

In response to Christopher’s presentation, resident Sharon Smith said she was happy about the proposed changes.

“I’m very happy to see that you’re going to orient the website more to be a resource of information for the citizens because right now, it’s challenging, I think, for the citizens to be able to find good, solid information,” she said during the public comment section of the meeting.

The relaunched website now includes a “documentation” page with options for users to browse through agendas and minutes, financial data, board rosters or requests for proposals and presentations that have been uploaded.

The website now also has a page for the board president’s monthly messages to the public.

To access the website, people can go to https://cambridgeharbor.org/.
