The Two Sides Of Still Woozy Come Out In Superb Armory Performance
Downtown Minneapolis felt dead on Thursday night. It didn’t feel like a show was happening at the massive Armory due to the lack of people hanging around the front. I got nervous. Did I have the wrong night? Maybe the wrong venue? Sadly, it wouldn’t have been the first time for either of those things. I saw a few people here and there walking towards the main doors and entering. Okay, clearly, we had a show, but where were all of the people? It wouldn’t be until headlining act Still Woozy took the stage that I would see that we did, in fact, have a show, and a massive one at that. It was one of those late arriving kind of crowds that just couldn’t be bothered to stand through even one opening act before the main attraction. Whatever– it’s their loss because everything about this entire show was fun, intriguing, different, and, did I mention fun?

Matthew Coller: After signing new deal, Vikings star Darrisaw looks to find his voice
It’s not likely that Darrisaw will ever be the loudest rah-rah player in the huddle and you shouldn’t expect him to become a podcaster or Tik Tok star any time soon but his version of vocal leadership means taking opportunities to help other players impro
Twins release veteran reliever with one problematic tendency
The Twins released veteran reliever Jay Jackson, relays Aaron Gleeman of The Athletic. The righty had been outrighted last month and wasn’t on the 40-man roster. Jackson made 20 MLB appearances with Minnesota early in the year. He struggled to a 7.52 earned run average despite striking out 29 hitters while only issuing nine walks. The long ball was the biggest issue. Jackson allowed seven home runs over 26 1/3 innings. It was a marked turnaround from the 2.12 ERA that he’d posted over a similar amount of playing time with the Blue Jays last season.
