    Lake Mills gets past Cambridge baseball with late-run in the seventh

    With the game tied at 4-4 in the top of the seventh inning, Alex Parys came through for Lake Mills on Tuesday, April 9 at Cambridge High School.

    Parys hit an RBI single to score Wyatt Werner and give Lake Mills a 5-4 lead. In the bottom of the seventh, Parys caught the final out, a line drive off the bat of Cambridge sophomore Jett Horton, to give Lake Mills a 5-4 win over the Cambridge baseball team.

    Lake Mills scored four of its five runs in the top of the third inning. Jack Vogel scored Parys on an RBI single, Brody Henderson hit a two-run triple to score Vogel and Ty Schaefer and Henderson then scored off a sacrifice fly out from Cooper Murphy.

    For Cambridge, junior Clayton Stenjem drove in senior Marco Damiani on an RBI groundout and junior Will Reese scored on a passed ball in the third.

    In the fourth, senior Carter Lund scored on a passed ball and senior Devin Schuchart scored on an error. Horton pitched a complete game for Cambridge, recording two strikeouts.

    Cambridge (1-1) faces Deerfield on Friday.
