After not being able to pitch most of last season due to injury, senior Adam Suess returned to the mound with a vengeance on Tuesday, April 9.

Suess recorded 12 strikeouts in 5 ⅓ innings pitched in relief in a Deerfield baseball 11-0 win over Parkview at Parkview High School.

Suess held the Vikings hitless after taking over for senior Austin Anderson in the first inning.

At the plate, senior Jackson Drobac led the Demons with four RBIs. Drobac hit a two-run single in the top of the sixth inning, scoring Suess and senior Kris Hahn.

In the first, Drobac recorded an RBI groundout to score Hahn and singled home Suess in the third inning.

Junior Luke Sigurslid, Hahn, Suess, junior Bryce Eickhoff and junior Aiden Brown were also credited with an RBI.

Deerfield is 1-0 on the season and 1-0 in the Trailways-South Conference.
