    Cambridge softball defeated on a walk-off by Wisconsin Heights

    The Wisconsin Heights Vanguards rallied for three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to score an 8-7 win over the Cambridge softball team on Thursday, April 25 at Wisconsin Heights High School.

    Macy Stampfli drove in the winning run for the Vanguards, scoring Isabelle Sutherland on an RBI single. Avery Graham also scored on a passed ball and Allie Beuthin drove in Vanessa Wagner on a sacrifice groundout in the seventh.

    For Cambridge, senior Saveea Freeland led the Blue Jays with three RBIs, while senior Julia Schneider had two RBIs. Junior Brooke Stenklyft also drove in a run.

    Freeland drove in Schneider on an RBI single in the first and hit a two-run single in the sixth to score Schneider and Stenklyft . Freeland also scored a run in the first.

    Schneider scored sophomore Malina Schneider in the second on an RBI single and drove in sophomore Finley Tuscic on an RBI single in the fourth. Tuscic also scored on an RBI single from Stenklyft in the sixth.

    Cambridge is 3-6 on the season and 1-3 in the Capitol South Conference.
